Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom (1865-2024) - 159 Years of Strife, Struggle, and Success

To commemorate and celebrate June 19, 1865, a historic date in American History, the Richie Nick Band performs songs symbolic of the pain and joy of that period. Hear “Mercy Mercy Mercy,” written by Joe Zawinul; “Moanin,” written by Bobby Timmons; “Song for My Father,” by Horace Silver; “Overjoyed,” by Stevie Wonder and more. This program is funded by New York State Assembly Member Vivian Cook.
