DIY: How to Start a Community Garden in NYC

Winter is the perfect time to start planning for a garden or organizing to access space for gardening. Environmental educator and urban farmer Gil Lopez has helped start two NYC gardens and will share tips and tactics for aspiring guerrilla gardeners interested in transforming that nearby lot into a community space and garden. This program is funded by New York State Senator Michael Gianaris.
