Black History Month: "A Labor of Love" Art Exhibit
QPL is proud to present our Black History Month art exhibit, "A Labor of Love."
Original works of art will celebrate our 2025 Black History Month theme, "African Americans and Labor," and focus on the profound ways that work of all kinds — free and unfree, skilled, and unskilled, vocational or voluntary — intersects with the collective experiences of Black people throughout the Diaspora.
"A Labor of Love" will be on display in a variety of mediums — including watercolor, charcoal, acrylic, photography, mixed medium, small ceramics, pottery, and sculpture — from February 1-28 in the main lobby of Central Library.
Join us on Thursday, February 27 for a special Artist Talk with some of the artists featured in "A Labor of Love."
