Neighborhood Tech Help offers free, easy-to-access, one-on-one tech support for New Yorkers to become more comfortable using their devices, connecting to the internet, setting up online appointments, and otherwise improving their computer skills. Our Tech Corps will meet residents where they are: the community center, the lobby of their building, and even the laundromat. Each Neighborhood Tech Help session will answer questions, help resolve a tech problem, and direct residents to additional resources. The program answers questions about online safety, accessing social services, staying in touch with friends and family over the internet, completing daily tasks like online banking, navigating virtual healthcare systems, and finding affordable devices or internet access. This program is a new partnership between Queens Public Library and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.
