The Queens Memory team works with community partners and volunteers from across the borough to organize public story sharing events, oral history projects, and photo scanning days that bring exciting new collections out of people’s homes and into the archives.

Collections

Queens Memory is a collaboration between Queens Public Library and Queens College CUNY. Queens Public Library publishes a curated selection of oral histories, recorded live events, and the Queens Memory podcast in its audiovisual archives. All materials collected under the auspices of the Queens Memory Project, including photographs, oral histories, ephemera, and born digital content, are available on the library’s digital archives website. Queens College publishes interviews conducted with Queens College alumni, faculty, and staff, along with finding aids, on their website.
