Robotics Programming for Beginners: For Children Ages 10 and Up
During this six-session course, children will learn what a robot is and how to instruct it to perform tasks using a visual programming/coding language. For the hands-on part, we will use a visual programming/coding language such as Blocky or Scratch to transform logical steps to computer/robot instructions. We may proceed further and transition from the visual programming/coding environments to Python, a more advanced programming language for controlling robots.
You may bring your own laptop or use the library's equipment.
Space is limited. Registration begins February 3rd, 2025. Call Glen Oaks Library at 718-831-8636 or ask at the 2nd floor Children's Reference Desk to preregister.
