Hunters Point Library & Environmental Education Center

Our mission

Hunters Point Library & Environmental Education Center is continuously building our collection of materials about the environment, sustainability, and resilience, as well as presenting a host of virtual and in-person programming, for all ages on those topics. Our mission focuses on interpreting the unique watershed and East River habitats of Long Island City, NY and emphasizing how we humans and our built environment are inextricably connected to the natural elements of the area and in the broader world.
