In this 10-session course, we will work with graphite, watercolor and gouache in various combinations. Participants will understand how to layer dry media with wet media. They will build a more comprehensive understanding of color and value, and how those formal aspects work together. This is an intermediate level course. SUPPLIES: • Mondeluz watercolor pencils • Graphite pencils: minimum 3 weights: 3h, 3B 7B • Watercolor paint • Palette (white dinner plate) • Brushes: flats and rounds: #10, #2 • Gouache paint • Pad of yupo paper (9 x 12”) • Watercolor paper, 140# cold or hot-pressed - a pad or block is fine, minimum 9x12."
