AANHPI Month: Ancestral Culture and Traditions of the Southern Philippines

Join Kinding Sindaw, a New York City–based Filipino dance theater company, for an afternoon of dynamic performances and insightful commentary exploring the rich ancestral culture and traditions of the Southern Philippines. Featuring traditional dance, kulintang music, and silat martial arts—passed down orally through generations—this event offers a powerful window into the living heritage of the Filipino people. Discover how these art forms reflect the cycle of life, from rhythmic movement and music to intricate weaving, beadwork, and woodcraft. This program is funded by New York State Assembly Queens Delegation.
