    We are excited to announce that the future location of Court Square Library will be at the 5PointzLIC residential complex, at 22-44 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City.

    The project is in design, and we expect the construction process that follows to take approximately two years.

  • Hollis

    Hollis Library is closed for renovations.

    Mobile Library service is available outside Hollis Library on Wednesdays from 10am to 5pm.

    We expect to reopen the library in Fall 2026.

    The comprehensive renovations of the library will include:
    A Designated Teen Area
    Enhanced Reading Spaces for Children and Adults
    A Multi-Purpose Room
    ADA Accessibility Improvements
    New Furniture, Computers, and Equipment
    Upgrades to All Building Systems

  • Hunters Point

    We will be making accessibility improvements to Hunters Point Library beginning Monday, September 9, 2024.

    The construction, which is expected to take one year, will occur at night while the branch is closed and will not affect our operating hours.

    During the day, while we are open, certain areas may be closed to the public. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • Jackson Heights

    Jackson Heights will be closed on Thursday, March 13 for scheduled maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • Lefrak City

    Lefrak City is closed. We look forward to serving you at a new location in the neighborhood at a future date.

    Mobile Library service is provided within the vicinity of the branch, on 57th Avenue or on 99th Street, on Fridays from 10am to 5pm.

  • Queensboro Hill

    Queensboro Hill is closed for replacement of the building's HVAC system.

    Mobile Library service will be available outside Queensboro Hill Library on Thursdays from 10am-5pm, starting March 20.

    We expect to reopen the library in Fall 2025.
